ASEEES Announces New Article Prize and Research Grant
ASEEES is delighted to announce a new prize and a research grant starting in 2024.
The Weiser Center for Europe and Eurasia Article Prize, sponsored by the Weiser Center for Europe and Eurasia (WCEE) at the University of Michigan, will be awarded annually for an outstanding English-language research article in the social sciences by a junior scholar published in a peer-reviewed journal. The Article Prize carries a $1,000 cash award and is presented at the ASEEES Annual Convention.
The James Bailey Dissertation Research Grant in Folklore Studies, funded by an endowed gift from Professor Natalie Kononenko, will be awarded to a PhD student at a US or Canadian university to conduct dissertation research in folklore studies. The grant is open to any disciplines and aspect of Folklore studies broadly defined. The Bailey Research Grant is part of the general ASEEES Dissertation Research Grant Program and uses the same application process. The grant amount is max $6,000.
